Red Light

in What I Wore Tags: halogen, ponte pants, striped knit blazer, tie neck blouse, what i wore
Had to go to court today for a red light camera ticket, not fun! At least it doesn’t go on my driving record, and I got it reduced from $124 to $75 so better than nothing. I figured going to see a judge was a good reason to wear a dress, it never hurts your case to look extra nice, but it was just too cold! Instead I opted for pants with boots for extra warmth, as well as my knit wool blazer over my red tie neck blouse. I’ve only worn this blazer once before, it definitely needed a trip out of the closet before Spring is here. This blouse on the other hand has been pretty versatile, seen here, here, and here before.
Pants- Ann Taylor, Blouse – BCBG (similar), Blazer – Halogen (similar), Boots – Impo via DSW
Anyone been over to check out the new Mad Men collection at Banana Republic yet? I love the dresses but just can’t justify spending that kind of money when I really don’t have a lot of places to wear them.
I might have to pick up this tie neck blouse though in cream if I can get it on sale. I love the one I have in navy!

Today I’m participating in Rich Life On a Budget’s How I Wear My: Most Cherished Item. Be sure to go check everyone out!

I love that you wore red to your red light ticket hearing
That striped blazer is too adorable!

If you ever get another one of those (or a parking ticket), mitigate via mail (ask for a court date but then send in a letter once you receive the date). You write a nice letter saying that you made a mistake, but that you’ll never do it again, and they knock your ticket down by half. Always. Saves you a trip to the courthouse
