The Final Days

Well Fall officially starts this Friday, and we are having a pretty nice week here in Seattle, so I am taking advantage of the final days of summer by showcasing bare legs, bare toes, and my cotton white blazer. This top I am wearing today hasn’t been worn in quite awhile and has almost hit the Goodwill pile a few times, but has stuck around for some reason. Finally decided it needed to come out if it was going to continue taking up space! I was deciding between wearing a belt or a necklace and went with the necklace. Even though the top is a busy print, I like the accessory addition. Also loving these David Yurman inspired Premier Design bracelets I finally ordered, I really like them layered with my watch. Tonight I am going to get my shoes switched out for Fall shoes and try to organize a bit, my husband is going to the Sounders game and then has a soccer game of his own, so I will have the place all to myself! Funny how when you are single, you get excited when you have someone, but once you are married, a night with your place all alone to get some stuff done can be very exciting! : )

Blazer – H&M, Skirt – The Loft, Shirt – Ann Taylor Outlet, Shoes – Payless, Jewelry – Premier Designs

And now a quick and easy dinner recipe since I happened to take a picture of the final product – Bunless Chili Dogs!

Basically I just threw together a chile by sauteeing a diced onion and yellow zucchini I had on hand with a little crushed garlic in a pot, added a pound of grass fed ground beef and sauteed until cooked. Then thew in 2 cans of fire roasted diced tomatoes with green chiles, along with 2 Tbsp of cumin, 1 1/2 Tbsp of chile powder, as well as salt, pepper, and some onion powder to taste and let it simmer for about 15 minutes -so easy! In a skillet warmed up some nitrate free all natural beef hot dogs, and served smothered in chile with a sprinkle of cheese. Very tasty and fast! (I enjoyed this with a cherry tomato and fresh mozzarella salad on the side)

That top has a great neutral print and goes very well with blue. I bet it would look nice with your red jeans too. I also have to swap my shoes based on the seasons. I always switch my boots and sandals since they only get worn for half the year. The shoes I don’t have to swap are pumps and ballet flats since those are worn year round.
